Cox & Kings (www.coxandkings.co.uk) are the world’s longest established travel company, and organise high quality group tours, private journeys and tailor-made itineraries to many of the world’s most fascinating regions. Cox & Kings Holidays range from the luxurious to the adventurous, and are planned by experts with a passion for travel made real by dedicated staff on the ground.
Zoom Display had produced Zap3 portable banner displays for Cox & Kings in the past. Cox & Kings were looking for a more custom build presence at Destinations, The Holiday & Travel Show at Earls Court and Birmingham NEC.
The brief was to create a reusable environmentally friendly exhibition stand, with a custom build feel, but without the custom build price tag. Important requirements were portability, easy set up, interactive TFT screens, storage space and substantial brochure display. Cox & Kings had two different shell scheme spaces booked. Therefore, the stand needed to be flexible to incorporate both a 8m and 6m wide, floor space.
Over a two week period 3D visualisations were produced using our T3 modular exhibition system. The final stand design included a 2.5m high curved backdrop with seamless support walls at either end. Mounts to support TFT screens were built into the side walls, with a keyboard shelf under each screen. All cables and PC base units were hidden inside the structure to give a clean interactive look. The curved backdrop allowed a large storage area with lockable doors, where brochures and personal belongings could be safely stored and easily accessed. Two freestanding 2.5m high towers were produced, each to contain 24 separate brochure holders.
